The pink brand new hairbrush sat on the same shelf in the beauty store for months. It had been hiding in the darkness of the shelf behind the newest and most advanced hairbrushes in the store. The brush had no idea as to what its job was to do; it had never been used by any person before. One day, as a small girl walked past the shelf, with long beautiful black hair, she quickly grabbed the brand new hairbrush. She ran to the cash register to purchase it. Seconds later, she ran to her mother's car and opened the packaged box to grasp this brush. The child ran the brush through her long, silky hair. The brush was in much confusion, but also felt this action was exciting. However, it was very concerned when there were strands of hair remaining in the holes in which the little girl used to brush her hair. When the child and her mother returned home, the small girl placed her precious hairbrush on the clean counter of the hallway bathroom. Every morning, day after day, the same girl used the hair brush to comb out her hair. The hairbrush also heard the many sounds of the hair blow dryer and the shower running every morning. It had gotten used to the same routine every day. However, one day one of the little girl's friends decided to use the brush to comb out her hair. The brush was not used to this, for this "new girl" had hair that was very short and had locks of curls. Soon later, the brush realized it was not the same girl as who had been using this brush for months now; it understood and carried on until the same small girl with long, silky hair returned and combed out her own hair. Throughout the next few months, the hairbrush had become very torn up, and the soft shades of paint had rubbed off from being in use everyday for almost a year. There were scratches on the back of the brush from sometimes being tossed onto the counter roughly. However, the same small, little girl with the silky black long hair continued to use this hairbrush for many years.
